From Healing To Healed

There comes a time on your journey when you have to switch from being ‘the one who is healing’ to ‘the one who is healed’.

There is a moment, when regardless of your physical or emotional health, you have to eat, walk, dance, love, as though all former setbacks have completed their lessons, have spent their karma.

Everything you do must be to honour the whole you who has won the trial, is freed from remand, is living as one who wishes never to go back.

The path toward healing can be treacherous. It is long, winding, and somewhere along that road our entire identity is shifted.  It is overcome, overtaken, by the part of us walking the quest. And this constant motion of ‘finding’ becomes its own fulcrum, reducing personalities to houses of desire and desperation.

In order to be healed we must, at the right point, stop. We must, crucially and irrevocably decide, on who we need to be right now, and what would she do. We must be able to ask, answer and action these questions:

The person who is healing, how does she live?

The person who is healed, how does she live?

The sudden halt to healing can be destabilising. It can disorient in a multitude of ways, until we discard the old energies and ground into our new. Until we connect with this new identity and wear it as a garment that is owned and present, not one to be continually bartered for.

Pay attention, closely, and you will feel the precise instant when you are being asked to pivot. When what you think is misfortune is really the universe offering a choice; to either stand still and watch healing find you, or to continue the chase.
