It’s Not About Your Routine, it’s About Your Energy

Most of us have been conditioned to believe the main formula for success is hard work and commitment. We believe that by being stringent in our daily routines, it inevitably translates to a linear and direct trajectory to the desires we’re attempting to manifest. This thinking is applied to many and varied situations; date nights in our marriages, morning gym sessions, affirmation work, even down-time. On the outside our choices look productive, we’re accomplishing what we’ve told ourselves and others that we would. But what is actually happening, internally?

There is a strong chance that some of the activities you’re regimenting are counter-intuitive to what’s most helpful to your life. In almost every moment, your body is indicating what it desires and why. The trouble is, the art of distinguishing between brain and gut is one not being cultivated or honoured by most people. There is the body response, that intuitive feeling in the heart, or solar plexus, and then immediately the need for interpretation kicks in. The comes the rush, an often unconscious response that shows up as the need to label, judge and then eventually override feelings with some sort of rational decision.

The bottom line is you don’t trust yourself. You don’t trust the energetic signals from your own internal navigation system. Before your own self, you trust the routines lauded by experts, the daily schedules suggested on Instagram or youtube tutorials. You uphold what works for other people’s lives, without taking into account that they have an entirely different make up to you, physically, emotionally and spiritually.

Learning how to tap into your own rhythms and use them to your advantage, as a success tool, is one of the best things you could ever do. Life becomes easier, your body stops participating in the fight you didn’t even realise you were having with it. You learn to flow, learn about grace and honouring who you are, on every metaphysical and physical level.

Nature has no schedule, it has a rhythm.

You forget, you are nature too.
