Learn Your Rhythms

Since learning my rhythms, only a few years ago, my awareness of self has contained more clarity than ever before.
I know when I’m likely to be irritable, angry.
I know when I’m likely to be impulsive, maybe buy that thing I don’t need.
I know when I’m likely to be extra sensitive, to the world around me.
And insensitive, also.
I know when anxiety is more likely to take hold.
And when it’s best not to interact with particular people, scenarios, groups.
Before learning my rhythms, I put my swaying moods, my fluctuations in temperament and needs, down to me being unpredictable, crazy, hard work.
But.
I know now. However tough, or however easy.
There is perfect rhythm in my chaos.
There is perfect order in my ebb, in my flow.
And there is perfection in the knowledge, which shows change is possible, in all cycles.
Even if the only change is perception.
